The
Foundation organized
many cultural events to
accomplish its basic objectives, and some of these are listed
below:-
Indo-Russian Youth Forum ,organized by the Foundation
to promote friendship between
the youth of two countries is an annual event. The first
‘Cultural Evening’ under this Forum was organized on 16th
November 2007 at Jawaharlal University, New Delhi, to
commemorate Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s
official visit to Russia , which was attended by
large number of youth and students activists from both countries
. The Youth Forum, first of its kind in the last twenty years,
included meetings with Indian public figures, intellectuals,
interaction with youth and student leaders. The Russian youth
delegation visited
Agra and other historical places in and around Delhi.
The
Foundation organizes
Russian spring festival
Maslenitsa that almost
coincides with Indian Holi
in order to reflect
the cultural and
civilizational affinity between our two countries .
The celebrations with
typical Russian
pancakes, songs , dances, games
, effigy burning always attract huge crowd and provide
lot of fun to the participants
.
Cultural
Exchange Programme: The Foundation
sends Indian youth and students representatives to the
youth and students camps , workshops , organized in Russia .
Indian students have attended
youth camps held at Moscow, St.Pitersburg ,Baikal lake,
Altai etc .
